guest stars
Visiting famous performers
Guest stars are performers who appear temporarily on a television series or other production without being part of the regular cast.
The term also refers to these appearances themselves: The show featured several celebrity guest stars that season.
In astronomy, guest star is a historical term for a nova or supernova—a "new" star appearing where none was visible before.
