series regulars
Show's constant players
Series regulars are actors contracted to appear in most or all episodes of a television series, as opposed to guest stars or recurring characters who appear occasionally.
The term distinguishes the core cast from supporting players: She was promoted from recurring to series regular in season three.
Series regulars typically receive prominent billing in opening credits and have guaranteed episode counts in their contracts.
