greenscreen
Effects compositing background
A greenscreen is a bright green backdrop used in film and video production, allowing editors to replace the green area with other imagery through digital compositing.
The technique works because the saturated green contrasts sharply with human skin tones: The weather forecaster stands in front of a greenscreen.
As a verb, to greenscreen is to film using this method.
Blue screens serve the same purpose but green has become standard in digital workflows.
