virtual background
Digital scene substitution
A virtual background is a digital image or video that replaces what's actually behind you during a video call.
The software detects your figure and substitutes the real environment with a chosen backdrop—a professional office, tropical beach, or company logo.
Virtual backgrounds hide messy rooms, protect privacy, or add visual interest: Half the team had virtual backgrounds on.
