go-go dancer
Nightclub platform gyrator
A go-go dancer is a performer who dances at nightclubs, bars, or events, typically on an elevated platform or in a cage, to entertain patrons and energize the atmosphere.
The term emerged in the 1960s alongside go-go music and discotheques, and the dancers often wear revealing or flashy costumes.
Go-go dancers are distinct from strippers in that they generally don't remove clothing, though the line can blur depending on venue.
The club hired go-go dancers for the weekend party.
