glucometer
Diabetic testing device
A glucometer is a handheld device that measures blood sugar levels, used primarily by diabetics to monitor glucose.
A small blood sample, typically from a fingertip, is placed on a test strip inserted into the device, which displays the reading within seconds: She checked her glucometer before deciding how much insulin to take.
