gas station attendant
Fuel service worker
A gas station attendant is an employee who pumps fuel, checks oil, and provides basic vehicle services at a service station.
Once ubiquitous, attendants have largely disappeared as self-service pumps became standard, though a few U.S. states still require attendant service by law: The gas station attendant cleaned my windshield while the tank filled.
