font family
Group of typefaces
A font family is a group of related typefaces sharing the same basic design but varying in weight, width, or style.
Arial, Times New Roman, and Helvetica are font families; within each are variants like bold, italic, and light.
In web design and word processing, specifying a font family tells the system which typeface to use for displaying text.
