floor votes
Chamber decision counts
Floor votes are votes taken during an official legislative session, when lawmakers assemble in the main chamber of their body—the "floor" of the House, Senate, or similar assembly.
Distinguished from committee votes or procedural tallies, floor votes represent the formal decision-making stage where bills pass or fail: The bill cleared committee but faces an uncertain future in floor votes.
