fetology
Unborn baby study
Fetology is the branch of medicine concerned with the fetus—its development, health, and treatment before birth.
A fetologist diagnoses and manages conditions in the womb, often working alongside obstetricians: The fetology team detected a heart defect at twenty weeks.
Also spelled foetology in British English.
