geriatrics
Medicine for seniors
Geriatrics is the branch of medicine concerned with the health and care of elderly people.
A geriatrician specializes in treating conditions common in old age—dementia, frailty, falls, medication management.
The adjective geriatric describes anything relating to this field or, more loosely, anything old or outdated: My geriatric laptop can barely run modern software.
