fem
Opposite of butch
Fem describes qualities culturally associated with femininity—soft features, graceful mannerisms, traditionally feminine dress or presentation.
The term is common in LGBTQ+ communities as a self-descriptor or preference: I'm pretty fem, looking for a fem guy.
Fem contrasts with masc (masculine) and carries no negative connotation in these contexts.
Outside queer spaces, fem functions as a casual shortening of feminine.
