fanlights
Arched transom windows
Fanlights are semicircular windows with radiating bars resembling an open fan, typically placed above doors or other windows.
The design is characteristic of Georgian and Federal architecture.
In British usage, fanlight can also mean any window above a door, regardless of shape—what Americans usually call a transom.
