eye line
Where you look
Eye line is the direction a person's gaze travels, particularly important in film and photography.
When subjects look off-camera, their eye line determines where viewers imagine they're looking: The director adjusted her eye line so it seemed she was watching the approaching car.
In makeup, eye line refers to eyeliner or the area where it's applied.
