overhead shot
Camera looks down
An overhead shot is a camera angle taken from directly above the subject, looking straight down.
In film and photography, it provides a bird's-eye view that can reveal spatial relationships, patterns, or create dramatic effect: The overhead shot showed the detective examining the crime scene.
In sports like tennis or badminton, an overhead shot is a stroke hit with the racket above the head, typically a powerful smash.
