extractor fan

Fume removal device

An extractor fan is a ventilation device that removes stale air, steam, smoke, or odors from an enclosed space.

Common in kitchens and bathrooms, it pulls air out through a duct or vent to the outside: Turn on the extractor fan before you start frying.
