HEPA filter

Captures airborne particles

A HEPA filter is a type of air filter that captures extremely small particles—dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, and some bacteria.

HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air.

These filters must trap at least 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger to meet the standard.

Common in vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, and medical settings: The allergist recommended a HEPA filter for the bedroom.
