evangelizers

Those converting others

Evangelizers are people who spread a message with fervent enthusiasm, originally and still primarily in a religious context.

Christian evangelizers seek to convert others to their faith through preaching, testimony, or missionary work.

The term has extended to anyone who promotes something with missionary-like zeal: She's become an evangelizer for plant-based eating.

Unlike the neutral *advocate*, evangelizer carries connotations of passionate, sometimes pushy promotion.
