emos
Melodramatic youth subculture
Emos is the plural of emo, referring to people associated with the emo subculture—characterized by emotional sensitivity, introspective or melancholic music, and a distinctive aesthetic featuring dark clothing, side-swept hair, and heavy eyeliner.
The term often carries dismissive or mocking overtones: The emos were hanging out behind the school.
