macho men
Aggressively masculine fellows
Macho men are men who display exaggerated masculinity—physical toughness, emotional stoicism, dominance, and aggression.
The phrase often carries a mocking or critical edge, suggesting the performance is compensatory or insecure: The bar was full of macho men trying to out-tough each other.
Sometimes used admiringly for rugged, confident men.
