moshing

Aggressive crowd dancing

Moshing is a form of aggressive dancing at rock and punk concerts, where participants push, shove, and slam into each other in a crowd—typically in an area called a mosh pit near the stage.

Despite its violent appearance, moshing follows unwritten rules: you pick people up when they fall.

The show got intense and we ended up moshing for the whole set.
