nerds
Crunchy colorful sweets
Nerds are people intensely devoted to intellectual or technical pursuits, especially in areas like computers, gaming, or science fiction.
The term once carried purely negative connotations—suggesting social awkwardness and obsessive focus at the expense of coolness—but has shifted toward neutral or even positive territory: I'm a total history nerd.
Nerd culture now drives mainstream entertainment and tech innovation.
The singular nerd works as both noun and mild insult: Don't be such a nerd.
