email filter
Automatic message sorter
An email filter is a rule or set of rules that automatically sorts, redirects, or deletes incoming messages based on specified criteria—sender, subject line, keywords, or other attributes.
Filters help manage inbox clutter by routing newsletters to folders, flagging messages from certain contacts, or sending suspected spam to trash: I set up a filter to archive all notifications from that app.
