allow list
Permitted items roster
An allow list is a set of items explicitly permitted access or approval—email addresses that bypass spam filters, IP addresses granted network access, applications authorized to run.
The term emerged as a neutral alternative to whitelist, avoiding the white-good/black-bad associations of older computing terminology.
Also spelled allowlist.
We added the domain to the allow list.
