dyne
Erg per centimeter
A dyne is a unit of force in the centimeter-gram-second (CGS) system of measurement—the force required to accelerate one gram of mass at one centimeter per second squared.
It's a very small unit, rarely encountered outside physics textbooks and older scientific literature, having been largely displaced by the newton in modern usage.
