dropshipping
Inventory-free selling model
Dropshipping is a retail method where the seller doesn't keep products in stock.
Instead, when a customer orders, the seller purchases the item from a third party—usually a wholesaler or manufacturer—who ships it directly to the customer.
The seller never handles the merchandise: She started a dropshipping business selling phone cases from Chinese suppliers.
The model requires little upfront investment but offers thin margins and limited quality control.
