dredgers
Harbor-deepening vessels
Dredgers are vessels or machines that scoop sediment from the bottom of waterways—clearing channels, deepening harbors, or extracting material.
A dredger may also be a container with a perforated lid for sprinkling flour or sugar: She kept a dredger of powdered sugar by the stove.
