dish antenna
Parabolic signal collector
A dish antenna is a radio antenna with a concave, bowl-shaped reflector that focuses electromagnetic signals onto a receiver at its center.
The parabolic shape concentrates incoming waves, making dish antennas effective for receiving weak signals from distant sources like satellites.
Home satellite TV dishes and radio telescopes are common examples: The installer mounted the dish antenna on the roof.
