blue laser
Short-wavelength light source
A blue laser emits light in the blue portion of the visible spectrum, with shorter wavelengths than red lasers.
Blue lasers enabled Blu-ray disc technology, which stores more data than DVDs because the shorter wavelength reads smaller pits on the disc surface.
They're also used in projectors, scientific instruments, and laser light shows.
