detectability

Ability to spot

Detectability is the quality of being able to be detected or discovered.

The term appears most often in technical contexts—security systems, medical screening, scientific measurement—where the question is whether something can be sensed or observed: The radar's detectability range depends on weather conditions.

Low detectability is often desirable for stealth technology; high detectability matters for disease markers or signal processing.
