desync
Out of step
Desync is short for desynchronization—when things that should be in sync fall out of alignment.
In gaming and video, it describes when audio and video drift apart, or when a player's local game state diverges from the server's: The match was ruined by desync.
As a verb, to desync is to lose synchronization: My controller keeps desyncing.
