deep space network
Spacecraft communication infrastructure
The Deep Space Network is NASA's system of large radio antennas positioned around the globe—in California, Spain, and Australia—that communicate with spacecraft beyond Earth orbit.
The strategic placement ensures continuous contact as Earth rotates: Voyager 2 still transmits data through the Deep Space Network.
Often abbreviated DSN.
