dataframes

Rows and columns

A dataframe is a tabular data structure used in programming and data analysis, organizing information in rows and columns like a spreadsheet.

Each column typically holds a single data type, while rows represent individual records or observations.

Dataframes are central to languages like R and Python's pandas library: I loaded the CSV into a dataframe and filtered for rows where sales exceeded 1000.

The term is sometimes written as two words or hyphenated.
