data buses
Internal communication channels
Data buses are pathways that transfer information between components in a computer or electronic system.
Like a highway connecting different parts of a city, a data bus carries digital signals between the processor, memory, and peripheral devices.
The width of a bus—measured in bits—determines how much data can move simultaneously: a 64-bit data bus transfers twice as much information per cycle as a 32-bit bus.
