cybercafé

Public computer spot

A cybercafé is a business where customers pay to use computers with internet access, often while drinking coffee or other beverages.

Popular in the 1990s and early 2000s before widespread home internet and smartphones, cybercafés remain common in developing countries and tourist areas: I checked my email at a cybercafé in Bangkok.

Also spelled cyber cafe or internet café.
