cubage

Space inside something

Cubage is the cubic content or volume of a space, calculated by multiplying length, width, and height.

The term appears in shipping, storage, and construction contexts where calculating three-dimensional capacity matters: The warehouse has enough cubage for the entire shipment.

Also called cubature.
