maximization
Pushing to peak
Maximization is the act of making something as large or great as possible.
The term appears frequently in economics and business contexts: profit maximization, utility maximization.
In mathematics, it refers to finding the highest value a function can reach.
More broadly, maximization applies to any effort to get the most out of something: maximization of efficiency, maximization of shareholder value.
