countability
Quality of numbering
Countability is the quality of being countable—able to be enumerated or quantified.
In grammar, countability distinguishes nouns that can take plural forms and indefinite articles (a dog, three dogs) from mass nouns that cannot (*a rice, *three rices).
In mathematics, countability describes sets whose elements can be put in one-to-one correspondence with natural numbers.
