contiguity
Sharing a boundary
Contiguity is the state of being contiguous—touching or immediately adjacent.
Two properties share contiguity when they border each other directly.
In psychology, contiguity refers to the principle that ideas or experiences occurring close together in time or space become mentally associated: The contiguity of the bell and the food caused the dog to salivate at the sound alone.
