conservancy
Environmental protection group
A conservancy is an organization dedicated to protecting natural resources, wildlife, or land from development and degradation: The Nature Conservancy, the local conservancy manages three thousand acres of wetlands.
The term also refers to the act of conservation itself, or to a commission overseeing a port or river.
British usage favors conservancy where Americans might say conservation.
