conga drum
Cuban barrel instrument
A conga drum is a tall, narrow, single-headed drum of Afro-Cuban origin, played with the hands.
Congas typically come in sets of two or three drums of different sizes and pitches, used in Latin music, jazz, and popular music.
The player strikes the drumhead with palms and fingers to produce a range of tones: She played a driving rhythm on the congas.
