colorblind
Can't distinguish red
Colorblind describes inability to distinguish certain colors, most commonly red from green.
The condition is usually inherited and more common in men.
Figuratively, colorblind means deliberately ignoring distinctions of race or ethnicity: a colorblind society, colorblind hiring policies.
Critics argue such approaches can overlook systemic inequalities.
Also spelled colour-blind.
