daltonism
Red-green confusion condition
Daltonism is color blindness, particularly the inability to distinguish red from green.
The term honors English chemist John Dalton, who described his own color blindness in 1794.
While *daltonism* remains common in French, Spanish, and other European languages, English speakers more typically say *color blindness* or *color vision deficiency*.
