colonizable
Open for settlement
Colonizable describes territory or a place capable of being colonized—settled and brought under outside control.
The word appears in discussions of historical imperialism and its legacy: vast colonizable lands in the interior.
In science fiction, colonizable planets are those with conditions suitable for human habitation: The probe identified three potentially colonizable worlds.
