cockboat
Ship's small boat
A cockboat is a small rowboat, especially one used as a tender to ferry passengers and supplies between a larger ship and shore.
The word is archaic, surviving mainly in historical nautical contexts: The captain sent a cockboat to collect the harbormaster.
