chaperones
Party adult watchers
Chaperones are people who accompany and supervise others, ensuring proper behavior or safety.
Traditionally, a chaperone was an older woman who accompanied a young unmarried woman in public to guard her reputation.
Now the term usually refers to adults supervising children on school trips or at events: We need parent chaperones for the field trip.
The verb means to act as such a supervisor: She chaperoned the prom.
