chainbreaker
Frees bound things
A chainbreaker is a tool designed to disassemble bicycle chains by pushing out the pins that hold links together.
Essential for bike repair and maintenance, it allows cyclists to shorten chains, replace damaged links, or remove chains entirely: I always carry a chainbreaker on long rides.
Figuratively, chainbreaker can describe someone or something that disrupts cycles of oppression or harmful patterns: She became a chainbreaker in her family, ending generations of addiction.
