catchline
Attention-getting phrase
A catchline is a short phrase designed to grab attention—a slogan, tagline, or headline.
In publishing and printing, it refers to a temporary identifying line at the top of a manuscript page or proof, used to keep track of pages during production: Each proof sheet had a catchline with the article title and page number.
