case-sensitivity

Uppercase-lowercase differentiation matters

Case-sensitivity is the distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters in computing and data systems.

A case-sensitive password treats "Password" and "password" as different entries.

Search engines and programming languages vary in their case-sensitivity: Unix commands are case-sensitive, so FILE.txt and file.txt are different files.

The opposite is case-insensitive, where letter case doesn't matter.
