camelCase

Humped variable naming

CamelCase is a naming convention that joins words by capitalizing each new word rather than using spaces or punctuation: firstName, backgroundColor, iPhone.

The capital letters in the middle resemble a camel's humps.

Programmers use it for variable and function names.

When the first letter is lowercase, it's sometimes called lowerCamelCase; when uppercase (FirstName), it's UpperCamelCase or PascalCase.
